A Lone Voice (#MayDay, #MayDay)

...in 1993 long before the freest & fairest election in #Nigeria was #annulled; I "knew" the election was headed to a fiasco.

I did a write up on what needs to be done by the then leading Presidential contender in  the election, attached some newspaper clippings (which I had gathered over time) & went down to his Hope '93 Campaign Hqt to seek for an audience with his Campaign Director. I was unable to see the Campaign Director and left my write up containing my observations and suggestions behind for his attention and incorporation into his electoral strategy to ensure victory at the polls.

A day after the 1993 #Presidential election was #annulled in #Nigeria; I went back to the Hope '93 Campaign Hqt to again seek for an audience with the Campaign Director and intimate him on what needs to be done #immediately to ensure the #mandate freely given to the winner of the presidential election was respected by the then military junta. I was again unable to meet with him and I left a written message for him containing my suggestions on what needed to be done to validate the mandate given to the winner of the presidential election by Nigerians across the length and breath of the nation - a very significant democratic moment & turning point for # Nigeria!

It took the winner of the 1993 presidential election over a year for him to finally implement my key suggestion to the Hope '93 Campaign Hqt on how to reverse the annulment of his electoral mandate; by then it was virtually too late to make any significant impact on the scheme of things and the rest is history...!

I have over the years observed a couple of things in #Nigeria, #Africa, the #USA (where I am currently based) and also around this #GlobalVillage (apart from being a trained #psychoanalyst and a person with well developed intuition; I also operate in the gift of #discernment and ability to "#see" into the #future).

My careful observations and discernments are the basis of some of my ongoing engagements & desire to contribute to making this #GlobalCommunity much better for #Humanity as we work together to avoid some of the #mistakes of the #past, which if repeated has the potentials of making the #FutureWeWant a #mirage as well as making life and living extremely difficult for a vast segment of #Humanity across this #GlobalVillage with resultant unpleasant #multiplier effect on all.....!

The entire #GlobalVillage (in general) is at a critical junction at this point in time (think of the various #EconomicCollapses, the state of #SocioEconomicDevelopment in most countries, avoidable/preventable wars & carnages, etc) and some countries (in particular) are at a very critical transition point that will determine whether those countries are able to #maximize their potentials and become much better entities in years to come or whether the transitions will be "#aborted" and the outcome will do no one and the Global Community any good!

I will speak in parables for some time now;

The #premier nation on earth today has waited for a very long time to see the moment they are currently experiencing; alas, now that the expected day has arrived; some people (leaders & followers) who have a repressed dislike to what is unfolding are doing everything possible to frustrate/terminate this much anticipated #BeautifulDawn, #NationalRebirth and #NationalRenewal via "#GridLock" and "#Obstructionism"!

Folks; we must do everything needful to ensure a very successful #NationalRebirth_Renewal for the good of all our #People and to fulfill the #vision of the #FoundingFathers of the land of #Freedom and a beckon of #Hope to other nations across this #GlobalVillage.

Think on how much we have lost & wasted (financial, human capital, etc) since the time of the "#HonestMan" who tried to unleash the potentials locked up in all #Men_Women ; think on how much it has and is still costing/draining our economy for not allowing the "#HonestMan's" #Reconstruction to run its #FullCourse and lay a very durable #Foundation for all #OurPeople?!

Think on how much it will cost us if we disrupt/frustrate the current #NationalRebirth_Renewal - the cost in #Human lives, #HumanCapital, #SocioEconomicProgress, #NationalPurpose_Vision, #GlobalGoodwill, etc?!

Folks; I have "seen" his heart. I know where he is coming from and what motivates him and I can tell you categorically; "he" is a very good guy who has the best of his nation and this Global Village at heart (n.b: you desire #GlobalLeadership and do so much around the Global Village to attain this. #He gave you a #Leader with #GlobalCredentials_Acceptance and yet you are screaming, throwing tantrums and being "obstructionist" just because you don't like his face and not because he is not performing and promoting the best interests of his country!).

Folks; let us get together and celebrate the #Dream we all worked together to make a living reality in our generation and do our best to make coming generations ("post racial" generation) proud of our accomplishments and also make others around this Global Community continue to look up to us as "the shinning city set upon a hill"; whose #ShiningLight drives out hatred, darkness, tyranny, economic subjugation, oppression, repression and every other vices against the "#BrotherhoodOfHumanity" across this #GlobalVillage!

To my country and continent of origin - #Nigeria_Africa; I can afford to speak in clear terms to you (to a great extent):

You have to do everything possible to rapidly evolve to become what you are all capable of becoming and we don't have time to waste anymore going forward!

You have to learn to cohabit together peacefully as well as resolve your misunderstandings via peaceful means - enough senseless wars and waste of lives and properties

You have to stop the cycle of instability, mass impoverishment, human capital wastage, socio-economic stagnation, under-development and leadership failure amongst you in order to liberate your potentials and turn around your captivity -you are on the threshold of greatness, transformation and sustainable development! However, it can't be forced on you - you have to evolve like the butterfly from a caterpillar to become a beautiful sought out pearl of inestimable value!

We must do everything possible to #empower all our #people to be able to #maximize their #potentials and thus unlock an unending cycle of expanding #prosperity which will benefit both leaders and followers and our individual countries and continent as a whole.

Having more than 70% of our people (in some instances) living below the poverty level does no one any good and it is a sure recipe for (avoidable) disaster!!!

We must make life and living much better for our people at home and also reach out to our people in the diaspora to bridge the divide, heal the wounds of our past and help each other to become all we are capable of becoming as a people and as a people group; contribute our quota to the Global Village towards making it a much better place for all and sundry!

The time has come for us to do things differently and to expect better results from doing our best.
